It’s Opening Week for baseball, and we wanted to take the opportunity to thank our MLB partners and to highlight the service that has taken place thanks to their generous support.
Sponsored by The Foundation to be Named Later, the foundation of the Boston Red Sox, the City Year Boston Civic Engagement Team has worked hard all year to engage the Boston community in physical service. 
Check out what they have accomplished so far: 
Hosted 17 service events (and they have 13 more before graduation!)
Completed 160 service projects
Engaged nearly 2,000 volunteers in service, with 10,000 hours served

The Chicago White Sox Charities Team serving at Paul Robeson High School on the south side of Chicago has had an incredibly impactful year with their students!
Check out what they have accomplished so far:
50 freshmen have received academic tutoring across all subject areas
Corps members have provided 541 hours of 1:1 or small group tutoring
Students have been in engaged in 455 lunch mentoring sessions focusing on leadership and positive behavior
